Rolt's Boatyard is home to the Bristol Classic Boat Company.
We are dedicated to the refitting, restoration and building of sailing and motor vessels. We specialise in wood and also repair and refit GRP and steel.
We can collect your vessel, bring it to our yard, carry out all work to your exact requirements and deliver it to you, ready for the season ahead.
Whatever your requirements, we will make it happen. Our aim is to help in any way possible, so even if you just need advice do not hesitate to contact us.
What we do
We specialise in the building, re-fitting and repairing of classic sailing and motor boats. Our team of experienced shipwrights have over 100 years experience, using traditional and modern techniques. We provide honest information and carry out all work at competitive prices and good hourly rates.
Our goal is to satisfy your needs: no problem is too small and no project is too big. We can manage the project from start to finish, or you can work alongside us and learn a few tricks along the way.

Shipwrighting
We are shipwrights who relish a challenge and can handle anything. Complete build from scratch. Repair and refits in wood, metal, and plastic. Internal and external joinery.
Rigging
Standing and running rigging checks and replacement. Masts and spars, winches, winch servicing, furling systems, hydraulic systems.
Marine carpentry
Bespoke carpentry, oars, blocks, tables, chairs, steps, teak gratings.
Paint
Brush and roll professional painting. Sign writing. We will make your boat shine.
Varnish
We specialise in producing a high quality finish on any surface, interior or exterior, from the mast to the waterline.
Antifouling
Complete hull antifoul protection. Anodes and prop shafts.
Engineering
Engine replacement, engine service, oil change, fuel filters, impellers. Generator servicing and installation, replacement shafts, cutless bearings and shaft seals, prop servicing.
